Elevating the Art of Procrastanalysis – Academics wasting time on pop culture

Welcome to The Moth Chase, where procrastanalysis is taken very seriously. We are two academics in different Ph.D. programs who, like all good graduate students, would rather be watching TV. Instead of feeling guilty about the intensity of our extra-curricular commitments, we have given into the ephemeral chase for meaning where there may be none. But at least this kind of writing is fun. If you are also a lover of pop culture and you find yourself thinking “what will Dexter name his new baby?” or “is it better to be bitten by a vampire or bite one back?” we hope you’ll join the chase.

This entire experiment began with an email exchange when we both discovered we were reading the Twilight series. You can read that original exchange here.

For the dorky academic story behind the name of this blog, see here.
